Coming out of the Coronavirus pandemic, AVAS is rehearsing for its first scheduled concert of 2021. On Sunday, November 14th AVAS will be presenting a variety of humorous, crowd pleasing choral pieces that will be sure to “Make ’em Laugh!” at Gloria Dei! Lutheran Church, 461 College Parkway, Arnold, MD 21012.
Our first rehearsal is scheduled for Wednesday, Septermber 8, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. at Gloria Dei!. The rehearsal will be held in the sanctuary which provides enough room for social distancing. All current members of the chorus are required to be fully vaccinated. Out of an abundance of caution, we will rehearse WITH MASKS, keeping in accordance with the current level of alert associated with high transmissibility (code red) in effect right now for our area. Should the environment and recommendations change, we will make the appropriate adjustments. If you are curious about us or just want to join in the fun, please feel free to attend and get to know us.
We will continually post information about our events on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/avaschorus/ and on Instagram @avaschorus and on Twitter #firstpostoninstagram#thingstodoinannapolis#annapolismd#annapolisarts#communitychoir
Normally, our rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 461 College Pkwy, Arnold, MD 21012 at 7:30 p.m. If you are interested in singing with us or have questions about our upcoming events or would like to volunteer to help us, please visit our Contact Us page.
While choral experience is not a requirement to join, some prior musical knowledge and ability makes learning the music easier. A simple audition may be requested of you. Please bring a short, familiar piece. An accompanist will be available.
