What our audience says about our concerts.

An Earth Day Tribute was the opening concert of the Naptown Philharmonic Orchestra, Arundel Vocal Arts Society and Apex Arts Vocal Ensemble. The combined groups gave an outstanding performance of the Earth Symphony, describing the cycle of life from its beginning with wonder, awe, beauty, destruction and a climax of restful peace. “Mirabilia.” This was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. Truly amazing.

“I was amazed and impressed with the entire program, and the Earth Song in particular. The first 3 sections were very dark, in keeping with the spirit of Icarus and our current political climate, but the last 2 sections, particular the finale, so beautiful! If we could only hear and heed the warnings on all sides.”

I enjoyed the concert very much and definitely, Earth Song was the star production of the day. Actually it’s one of the few pieces of contemporary music that I really liked and would be happy to listen to again. For me, the modernism was offset by the work’s melodic nature and the lovely interplay between chorus and orchestra. It was great to see you on the stage as part of it. Thanks so much for telling us about it.
